Computers

  • Yes, I am a geek, a hack programmer (not a "cracker" or "warez" guy, but an actual programmer. I admire free software, such as that provided by www.nonags.com.  I don't play games, nor do I do Instant Messages very often.  I'm usually tinkering in the guts of programs and operating systems.

  • My Favorite Freeware is stuff that I strongly recommend and vouch for.  So take a look!  I didn't write these (I'm not that good), but I really like them!

  • I enjoy helping people with their network problems, and you can find me on the BroadbandReports.com site under the name of funchords.

  • I'm currently learning Linux internals, using the Fedora Core 4 (FC4) distribution. 

Hobbies

  • Bowling, a great American pass-time with historical roots back to the stone ages.  Scooter and I have taken this up and we really enjoy it!

  • Barbershop Harmony is a uniquely American art of 4-part a-cappella singing, sung in both choruses and quartets.  Listen to some great barbershop music, learn about its history, or come join us in a song! 

  • Poker ... ya gotta love poker!  If you do, check out our pdx-poker list!

  • TiVo, like a VCR with a hard disk. Pause live TV. Tell it to and it finds and records your favorite shows. It has changed TV for me.
