In my Favorite Freeware aisle, I'm sharing those programs that:
Ever wonder how spammers get your e-mail address? And, as soon as you change it, they seem to find you again? They use a technology called "web crawling." It is very similar to the technology used by Google to index web pages. But, in this case, they are looking for e-mail addresses. If you have a personal webpage, changes are you've placed your e-mail address on the page to help your readers communicate back to you. Then, after getting tons of spam, you have regretted that decision. There are several ways to prevent this. This is one of them. Email Protector - it takes your email address and encrypts it using RSA encryption (10 bit). Then, when a spambot crawls your site, it just sees some javascript functions and a garbled string that it doesn't understand. If a human clicks on the link, your address is decrypted and your readers can write to you! Color this strongly recommended ... and let me know what you think!
